Renee Ostrander

Renee Ostrander is the Chief of the Employer Account Management Division at the California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS). She oversees planning, policy development, and operations for a wide range of services that impact CalPERS employers and members. Her responsibilities include member enrollment; member eligibility; overall membership maintenance; post-retirement employment; compensation reporting for all employers; State Social Security Administration; and requests for administrative hearings for CalPERS employers, members, retirees, and their families. Renee has a wealth of knowledge from more than 25 years of CalPERS experience. She has previously held management positions in several operational areas within customer service, including retirement benefit administration and contract administration, in addition to significant administration experience. Renee holds an MBA as well as a BS degree in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting from California State University, Sacramento.
