Description of Session(s)

As the financial landscape continues to shift with interest rate pressures, inflation dynamics, and evolving fiscal policy, California Public Entities face increasing complexity in managing public funds. This session provides a timely economic update tailored to the unique challenges and opportunities for public entities in California.
We'll begin with a focused look at key macroeconomic indicators — including growth trends, Fed policy outlook, and market signals — and explore how they impact liquidity and investment decision-making. From there, the presentation will transition to a practical, portfolio-focused discussion on building resilient public fund strategies that balance safety, liquidity, and yield.
With a train-themed lens symbolizing momentum, adaptability, and structural integrity, this session will offer tools and insights to help public entities stay on track amid volatility — moving full steam ahead toward stronger, more stable financial outcomes for their communities.
